My Sister Vanished. I See Her Whenever I Want

For this project, the final in my Typography 1 course, I was tasked with turning an article into a book, focusing on page layout and illustration. I worked primarily in Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator. I wanted the illustrations to compliment the emotional story within, and used the color yellow to represent the author’s missing sister.

Natural Gas

For this project, I had to describe the process of drilling for natural gas using only type and one color (multiple hues were allowed). I used Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, and pushed myself to use type in an illustrative way.

Frankenstein

For this project, I translated one chapter of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein into a book without using traditional illustration techniques. I utilized string, both through scans and stitching into the book itself to enhance Shelley’s text. In addition to stitch work and scanning, I used Adobe InDesign.
